Our client wanted to update the windows in their stunning detached period home in Putney, London because their existing were draughty, not energy-efficient, and tired-looking. Your Price Bifolds worked with our client to design beautiful uPVC windows from market leader Kommerling that matched the aesthetic of the old windows to blend in with the look and feel of the property. These windows also added exceptional energy efficiency, security, and functionality.

German brand Kommerling is a world leader in glazing and offers an extensive product range, particularly around windows. These windows can make a stunning choice for all types of residential and commercial properties and can offer a period aesthetic with clean lines and a stylish finish blended with state-of-the-art technology. The client opted for a grained texture on the Bay window to maintain the period look, whilst the new smaller bathroom window had a smooth profile.

The Results

Your Price Bifolds removed the old windows and supplied and fitted the new ones perfectly. Casement windows offer timeless style and were designed around the requirements of the client. They were over the moon with the aesthetic look of their new windows and the performance of their new glazing, which offered a draught-free and cosy interior, with no maintenance to keep them looking as good as new.

Any challenges?

Your Price Bifolds installed the new windows as the client wished, keeping the existing architraves and liners in-situ. This made the installation more complex than other but our windows installers rose to the challenge. They also had to get around telephone cables without disturbing them when ripping out the old windows and in the bathroom that had to work over the sink and toilet, so had to access more hard-to-reach areas. The client was delighted with the hard work and tenacity of the installation team.

We've just had new bifold doors, a side door and a couple of windows fitted by YPE and couldn't be happier. From the start Terry was infinitely patient with my many questions and changes of mind. When it came to arranging delivery Marie was extremely responsive, helpful and pleasant to deal with, and finally Kirk and the team who did an awesome job on the install.We looked at a few places to get the windows from but decided to go with YPE based on their reviews and i'm glad we did.

The whole experience was great. We had some old bifold doors from another company that were broken and needed completely replacing. YPE were quick to respond to our initial enquiry, and soon after visited to measure up, coming back with the most competitive quote. The new doors were manufactured incredibly quickly, installation was super smooth, and the new doors are fantastic - better than what we had previously at almost half the price we paid for those. The best thing about YPE is that they did everything they could to find a solution to our problem, which was to replace original 1920s leaded windows with a match in aluminium with the teardrop pattern reproduced. I knew I wanted Origin 70 slim frames but was unsure how well the leaded fanlights would be matched. YPE arranged to get leaded panels mocked up, matching the originals, taking great care to get this right. Our original architraves were preserved, scalloped lead flashing was reproduced too. Great care was taken not to damage the pebble dash surrounding windows which wouldn’t have been easy to match if repair was needed. Fitters were pleasant and tidy. Snags were dealt with quickly. There was no pushy salesman, no hard sell or patronising attitudes which are still prevalent in this business. We were nervous about removing beautiful original windows but very pleased with the result.

A company that actually sticks to their lead times! We got a site visit from Andy within 48 hours of requesting one, despite being almost 1hr and a half away. Quoted a two week lead time for a bifold and one window when everyone else was quoting 8-12 weeks, and bang on time, the stock arrived with them and they installed the next day. The fit and finish is brilliant and the lads were very friendly and helpful. Faultless service and have since recommended them to friends!

He had a quick turnaround on getting our Origin windows ordered and were ready to fit promptly.Fred & Chad fitted our new windows and have been absolutely great, I cannot recommend them enough. The quality of the aluminium windows and doors we choose is very high but in a way this is the easy part because it's clearly visible. More difficult is knowing how well they well be installed. Fred and Andy who fitted them are well above your average window fitter - they are craftsmen who took real care and pride in their work. They turned up when they said they would, discussed and agreed finishing options with us and then completed the work with great attention to detail. Perfect!
